Sex & Romance

Caramela writes: "I came across this article regarding romance at work. Personally, I have this "I dont sh*t where I eat rule, so I really dont date people that I work with. When the opportunity does present itself all I can do is have flashbacks of the future. I always find myself imagining that if things dont work out; I would have to deal with that "weird" feeling of having to come in contact with this person 5 days a week.

It's a double ended sword because I would probably still have the same "weird" feeling if things do workout and having to deal with this person both inside and outside of work hours. Unless we work different departments and cant help to think about how smothering that can be. I kind of like to have balance in my life.

Well, If by some strange miracle I happen to find myself in a situation where I actually am dating someone from work (U know what they say, never say never). I'll be sure to incorporate the rules the article mentions throughout the course of the relationship."

Caramela writes: "Wow I can't believe he came to her as my mom would say.
I was pretty shocked today when I heard the news that this lady passed away at the tender age of 44. According to the article, the saddest part is, she passed away from lung cancer and she didnt even smoke! So Sad....
I always admired the fact that she stood by her late husband
actor Christopher Reeves through thick and thin, during his paralysis and illness all those years.

It proved she wasnt just in it for the money. They had a true genuine
love for each other. Especially her for him, she reallytook those wedding vows literally and was there for him through sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, and finally till death do them part.
And it did, but apparently not for long, they are finally together again"

Education

Vicky writes: "According to an article running on ecampustours.com "College can be a very demanding time for students. Professors, class projects, and extracurricular activities can all contribute to a stressed-out college student. From schoolwork to social problems, students can sometimes become so overwhelmed that they do not know how to efficiently manage their stressful situations. These tips can help keep college stress at a minimum before it becomes too hard to handle..."

College life can be either the best experience of a lifetime or a nightmare. Living on campus can be fun, and also add to the stess. Although, it's highly reccommended that students should take the oppurtunity to live on campus. Most students can learn and practice how to make good decision making skills.
There are a few basic steps in having a sucessful campus life. Some of them are...

- Getting organized
- Prioritize your schoolwork
- Taking time to relax
- Realize that its okay to say no."

Sam writes: "Unless you've been working in a Diamond Mine for the last few months, you should have heard Kayne West's new song, "Diamonds are Forever". His Lyrics in the song tell how the ice that everyone is trying so hard to rock these days is directly related to the child slavery and wars taking place in Africa. Check out the following line from his song: "Good morning, this ain't Vietnam/ Still, people lose hands, legs, arms for real," 'he rhymes. "It was known, in Sierra Leone/ When I speak about diamonds in this song/ I ain't talking about the ones that be glowing/ I'm talking about Roc-A-Fella, my home/ These ain't conflict diamonds, is they Jacob?/ Don't lie to me, man/ See, a part of me saying, 'Keep shining,' / How even though it's thousands of miles away/ Sierra Leone connects to what we go through today ... I thought my Jesus piece was so harmless/ Till I saw a picture of a shorty armless/ And here's the conflict." "

TheBlackKnight writes: "It is said that a Voodoo spirit gave the famous staff to Moses. When I researched this, I found a lot of similarities between the features of the staff, notably its ability to change into a snake, and other voodoo staffs that have seen while roaming Haitis country side.
A voodoo priest of Gonaives changed his staff into a snake before my very eyes. I very much hesitate to talk about these things, because I know from experience that people do not believe in things that they do not understand and would rather label me a liar .
Anyways, after considering the facts, I decided to believe that this was an illusion. I continued my journey towards Cap-Haitian. There, someone took me to a place thats near Labadie where I requested another demonstration from another voodoo priest, but this time, despite my fear of snakes, I had to make sure that I was not being manipulated, I touch the animal with a stick (wou fou, mwen pa tap manyenl ak men m du tou). The darn thing turned around and bit the stick. Now I could no longer say it was an illusion, because, the imprint of the fangs, were ever present on the stick.
Because of my oath as a Freemason, I am unable to share part of the story the way it happened, the touching of the snake with the stick had to be tweaked a little, but the rest is truth.
You draw your own conclusion."

Haiti

HaitianPrince06 writes: "Haiti is in need of help. We all know that. Our country has been labeled the poorest country in the Americas. There are about 8.3 million people in Haiti, while an estimated eight million live abroad - including one million in the United States, 600,000 in the Dominican Republic, 200,000 in Canada, 20,000 in Turks and Caicos and up to 40,000 in the Bahamas, according to the Ministry of Haitians Living Overseas. I would like to ask you, yes I am talking to you, how have you contributed to your country? There are millions of kids starving in Haiti. Hunger knows no season. Don't wait until Christmas to send your usual little gift, don't get me wrong it is appreciated. Pick up a phone, call one of the many Haitian Charity organizations and pledge to sponsor one kid. Trust me you will make a difference in one person's life. Talk to your friends about it. Haiti will be celebrating 200th year of independence and I am sure on the day of the celebrations there will be thousands and thousands of kids going to be with an empty stomach. Make a contribution to your country. It is our country and we can make a difference in it. I love you Haiti."

An Argument for the Extraterrestrial Origin of Mankind.
By David B. Trout

Exploration of other star systems requires not only the ability to construct a craft capable of attaining speeds approaching that of light, but also a species with an extremely long lifespan. After all, what good is an expedition if, upon their return, all of their contemporaries are dead? Therefore, for interstellar travel to be feasible, the average lifespan of the species must be at least long enough for an expedition to reach its objective, perform studies, and return with the information and/or resources within a single generation. Given the vast distances between stars and the likely rarity of life-supporting planets, such a super long lifespan would certainly need to be at least an order of magnitude greater than our own. I believe the Bible records such an expedition to our planet. The reason behind this expedition can only be speculated, but the textual evidence appears overwhelming. (See Eric Stetson's long essay on UFOs and the Bible for specifics.)
