How come the Muslims are protesting the Popes comment about Islam being a violent religion by bombing christian churches and killing nuns? Does that just prove the Pope is right ? |

On one hand, I think the Pope should have known better. There goes the myth that the Pope never makes mistakes! It was clear that his remarks were going to offend many Muslims and enrage the fanatic extremists. On the other hand, Islam is such an intolerant religion that even the slightest criticism is perceived as an "offense to Islam" (the label under which Muslims are authorized to kill the offender).
There are many mainstreams religions and pretty much all of them had a violent past, including catholicism but Islam is the only one that seems to make violence its past, its present and our future. The Pope's remarks (not even his own, really) may not be politically correct but they are true. |

I think your right Suc, they are some crazy muslims out there that want to kill kill.
But its human nature to go around and kill each other if we dont agree with someone. gorverments do it, extremist do all for their cause.
WARS AND RELIGIOUS WARS CONTINUE to show man kinds true colors.
we do not get along with each other, we hate what we dont understand, and most of all we we always want to convert someone to our own beliefs, be it religion or democracy.
I never could understand things like sanctions on a country because we dont like what they do or stand for. |

Very interesting topic in sex forum
Now when Im alread here, here is my .5cents: The Pope was wrong to say what he said ... no doubt about it ... but he should have not apologized ... They should have prevented him from visiting Turkey at the end of this year ... but asking for apology every now and then for every stupid thing ... please ...
On the other hand, the extremism on the other side is a product of many things, some of them understandable and some unthinkable ...
